Geneva County beat their undefeated rival, Geneva 13-7, on November 16 to all but clinch the title. The next week they wrapped it up with a 3-0 win over Rehobeth. The win broke a 27 game winning streak for Rehobeth.

The Bulldogs were led by Tom Bryan at halfback who would make the All-State first team. He was one of South Alabamas leading scorers with 15 touchdowns and was just as good at the linebacker position on defense.
